The Wounded Land is the first book in the Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. In the first excellent trilogy, Covenant ultimately triumphed over the evil Lord Foul and brought centuries of peace and prosperity to the Land. Unfortunately, Foul was not destroyed, only forced to retreat and lick his wounds for a while.

Wounded Land is the debut album from British progressive metal band Threshold, released in 1993. It is the first of three non-consecutive albums to feature vocalist Damian Wilson, who returned for 1997's Extinct Instinct and 2012's March of Progress, and the only one to feature Tony Grinham on drums.

"The Wounded Land" is the first entry of the Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant trilogy. In the series, a leper, Thomas Covenant, is magically transported to The Land on several occasions to save it from the evil Lord Foul.
